Hi! I am Monica. I studied Psychology but then switched things up and went after my passion for the creative arts. I studied at the Barcelona Academy of Arts and at the figurative atelier for sculpture in Amsterdam. Now I work as a freelance artist and photographer in Leiden.
Even though I don’t formally work as a psychologist, I still see myself as one. In my work I search to find deeper meaning of human existence, the exploration of the mind and the whole diverse spectrum of feelings that we can experience. Such subjects run like a thread through my visual work and texts. Literature plays a big part in my work. Moreover, I give workshops and courses on the self-expressing side of art.
